About This Item

New York: Hill and Wang, 1983. Soft Cover. Very Good +. Twentieth printing of the first dramabook edition published in 1961. With an introduction by John Glassner. Playwrights on Playwriting is unsurpassed as an introduction to the ideas of the modern and the modernistic theatre. To understand their diversity and many currents we must go back to Yeats and Zola, to Ibsen, Shaw, and Strindberg. Here in the words of the playwrights are the clearly expressed principles of naturalism, realism, symbolism, poetic drama, and expressionism. Book is in very good condition with little edge wear, but there is some faint speckling to the page block.

About Trolls Treasure

Home-based, online sales only. I am running out of space to keep my collection of books, but I cannot bypass any chance offered at searching out some interesting venue offering books. I dithered for quite some time over this problem, and went right on buying books, until it occurred to me that I could make room for new purchases if I started selling some of my books. So, here I am, a small business, but offering personal service. Happy to answer questions.
