Bacon, Peggy. PLEADING FOR THE OPPRESSED. Flint 129. Drypoint, 1936. Edition size not known. Titled and inscribed "To Josephine with unctuous sentiments/Peg-" 6 7/8 x 15 7/8 inches. The image shows John Collier, the U.S. Commissioner for Indian Affairs from 1933-45, speaking before a Committee of U.S. Senators, all showing their boredom and lack of interest in his pleadings on behalf of Native Americans. In excellent condition.
