Underrated artist book by a photographer who worked more often in commercial jobs than a fine art context. Published same year as Eggleston's Guide, this technically innovative book uses an unusual color palette set on deep blacks that prefigures the graphic digital futurism of the 1980s. Labrot's experiments conjures images not unlike the photography of Lucas Samaras. The image and color laying processes anticipates the techniques and style of computer generated digital graphics.

Taped on the pastedown and front free endpaper are a warmly written postcard signed by the author in 1976, and a letter from an acquaintance at Riggs Bank who gave him the book. Corners modestly worn with short tears, near fine in a near fine dustwrapper with light wear and a small chip on the front panel bottom edge.
