London: David Nutt, 1892. Dustwrapper is a little bit yellowed, with some minor scuffing to bottom end of spine and lower corners, otherwise a good clean tight copy, with (mostly) uncut pages, of this soft-cover book. Volume 7 in the publisher's "Biblioteque de Carabas" series, containing Plutarch's "Roman Questions" as translated in 1603 by Philemon Holland still in original spelling and with the long S; and with a lengthy (128pp) introduction by Frank Byron Jevons. The "Roman Questions" was probably one of the earliest works on the subject of folk-lore, and looks at 113 questions on Roman religion and customs. Part of a limited edition of five hundred copies printed on hand-made paper and with Japanese vellum wraps. Inscribed on f/ep "J T Danson from the Editor". Not sure if the editor refers to Jevons, or possibly to Andrew Lang, who was the general editor of the series. 128pp (introduction) and 170pp ("Romane Questions") plus 3pp adverts.. Limited. Paperback. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
