New York: Pantheon Books, 1952. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. Octavo. The first and one of the best translations of Baudelaire, by a major American poet. States 'First Edition, September 1952' on the copyright page and bound in the original indigo gilt cloth. Book is fine and unmarked. Jacket is near fine save for three very small chips to the top edge, protected by an archival Mylar cover. A very attractive copy of an extremely scarce transation of Baudelaire.
