Boston and New York: Houghton, Mifflin and Company, 1896. Title page dated 1896, originally published in 1874. Appledore Edition. Externally fair, internally very good. Olive green cloth with gilt cover illustration and lettering, gilt top edge, patterned endpapers, 272 pages including indices to title and first lines. Spine sunned to tan with gilt lettering and decoration legible, some holes along the joints and edge or rear cover, internally much better with good hinges, firm text block, clean pages, no names or other markings.. Hard Cover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
