Cambridge: Macmillan and Co., 1862. xxvii, [1], 259pp, [1], 16pp ads. Rebound in later half-morocco and cloth, raised double bands, spine in five panels, title in gilt to second panel, remaining panels with small flower head corner pieces and alternating centre pieces, unusual square corner pieces (rather than triangle), with double fillet frame and flower head corner pieces, t.e.g., marbled endpapers, original cloth covers bound in to rear. Minor rubbing to extremities, spine slightly faded, some light foxing to first few pages, lightly browned, but generally clean. Previous owners bookplate to front pastedown. Binding is by Birdsall of Northampton. First Edition. Half Morocco and Cloth. Good+. 12mo.

Temple Rare Books is a division of Temple Bookbinders, which has been established for nearly twenty years. The bookshop is based within the bindery building. It is open between 10am and 4pm weekdays, any other times by appointment. All books listed on the website can be examined here, but please let us know first if you are travelling, so that we can make sure it is still available. Not all of the books in the shop are listed on the website. We are members of the PBFA and ABA and exhibit at several of their book fairs, please see our fairs / events page. We attend many auctions and are happy to execute commission bids on your behalf.
