Gilt decorated cloth, art nouveau design (that is, hard covers) pp. xii, 214, 2 and 7 publishers advertisements, the later being Elkin Mathews and John Lanes List of New and forthcoming Books dated 1893. With Illustrations by C.S. Ricketts. [References identify the binding as by Charles Ricketts. There are two monograms on each board]. Top edge gilt, others uncut. First Edition. Head of spine worn; small dampstain to foot of front board; heavily dampstained at the top corners of the front and rear boards; this damp has affected the margins of the preliminary leaves, and also those of four of the six plates; otherwise a very good copy.
