63, [1] printed pages. Title page printed in red and black with printed decorative flower wreath surrounding title; "Sesame Booklets" printed at head of title. Includes portrait of bearded man wearing a headwrap as frontispiece. Includes poems by Leigh Hunt, James Russell Lowell, R.C. Trench, and Matthew Arnold. Sesame Booklets, number 38. Art nouveau style headpieces at the top of each page. Untrimmed leaves. 70 x 97mm. Publisher's brown embossed oilskin cloth with black striations. Front cover with red and gilt art nouveau border and gilt block lettering, "Poems of the East" on the front and down the spine. Hunt was close friends with John Keats and Percy Shelley whose poems were characterized as being less philosophical than other Romantic poets, more light-hearted and uplifting. Lowell was an American Romantic poet, one of the New England fireside poets. Arnold was a major Victorian poet. Not in Welsh. OCLC, 1037948540.
