Small portion of the corner of the table of contents torn away, no loss; narrow bands of offsetting to edges of endpapers from binding; covers lightly rubbed at hinges and extremities; spine drying, but intact; a couple of small stains.. 8vo, [4], [xii], 328pp; contemporary calf with gilt rules on spine, red label. Includes an engraved title page vignette as well as a portrait engraving of Goldsmith by Esdall. This copy is from the regular edition; there was also a large paper edition with a different title page and imprint.
