New York: Edward O. Jenkins, 1864. Twelve poems inspired by the Civil War, including "The Great Republic", "Battle Hymn", "The New Reveille", "In Memoriam--Gettysburg", "The Divine Mission", and "The American Union". Sabin 6932. 48 pp. Original blue wrappers with gilt lettering and design. Covers in Fair condition with dirt smudges, creasing to corners and cover faces, rubbing, chipping to edges, gilt lettering is faded. Wrap along spine is broken and partially missing in places. Gilt page edges. Inscription on front free endpaper "May 30, 1873". Interior pages have foxing, particularly to the back pages, but text is easily legible. Book in Good condition.. Wraps. Good. Size: Approx. 5 " x 7 3/4". Poetry.
