This full leather book is full leather with original blind stamped boards and end pages. Armourial book plate is attached to the inside front board. Pages 177-208 are repeated in pagination, but text and register are continuous. Interior is clean--introductory pages with plate and writing referring to pagination photographed.
Seldom found in any condition, this very rare original book is priced for the discerning collector of English satire.

*John Wilmot (1657-1680) was an English poet and courtier of King Charles II's Restoration court. He was well known for his rakish lifestyle as well as his poetry and died at the age of 33. He was described by his contemporary Andrew Marvell as "the best English satirist" and was considered one of the most learned poets among the Restoration wits. [Adapted from Wikipedia]
