Buffalo, New York: Peter Paul & Bro., Publishers, 1883. First Edition. . Hardcover. Very Good-. Hardcover with matching copyright and title page dates of 1883. Bound in a dark brown cloth which shows considerable rubbing. The gilt lettering on the cover and spine are still present and legibile. Hinges are tight. Pages unmarked. There is a bookplate on the inside of the front cover stating this book is from the library of Rasmus B. Anderson, presented to the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. Rasmus Anderson was the founder of the Department of Scandinavian Studies at the University of Wisconsin, the oldest such program in the United States. Text is entirely in English.
