Frontispiece portrait of George Sterling, from unpublished photograph by Arnold Genthe. 4 3/4" x 7 1/2". Cloth. A posthumous collection of previously unpublished poems. Poet/Playwright George Sterling (1869-1926) was a resident member of early Carmel's bohemian group and a friend of Jack London, Mary Austin and Robinson Jeffers. His later years were spent in San Francisco, where he died by his own hand in 1926. Mattilla A39.
