Some light chipping in the cloth at spine tips, corners, and along joints; front hinge a bit tender. Contents foxed. More than 50 poems, many of them with an anti-slavery theme, and dedicated to Whittier's friend and fellow abolitionist, Henry B. Stanton "...as a token of the author's personal friendship, and of his respect for the unreserved devotion of exalted talents to the cuase of humanity and freedom."
