London circa 1890s -1900s.: Frederick Warne and Co The "Albion" Edition. Full red leather binding with blind stamp of KING EDWARD GRAMMAR SCHOOL TO FRONT BOARD IN GOLD AND THE SAME TO REAR BUT NOT GILDED. Same school prize label affixed to front fixed endpaper. Lovely marbled double endpapers and all edges the same. Somewhat rubbed to all edges and moreso to spine ends and corners. Leather binding is chafed overall. Superficial marking to boards commensurate with age. Double gilt tooling lines at top and bottom of covers. Spine has gold gilt title lettering on black band on raised bands. Binding still very strong and pages secure. Very clean and fresh internally with only light sporadic foxing to prelims. Overall a tactile copy which retains a nice patina ! A SOLID, SOUND, DECENT COPY IN ABOUT GOOD CONDITION.......which will still appeal to the collector. 627 pages. Includes "The Borderers", Drama. States complete works except " The Prelude". Size: 5 3/4 X 7 3/4. . Good.
