About This Item

A like-new book from 2004. Wondeful front endpapers: a giant rabbit sits on a lawn near a house. A cat is lying on the grass closer to the house and looking a little bit fearful. The rear endpapers show a man with a plow, walking behind his horse. What looks like a turkey is pecking the ground nearby, oblivious of the horse. These as well as a man poleing a raft on the front of the d.j. as well as more fine paintings by Robert Gantt Steele are to be found inside the book. "Wallace Stevens' poems paint pictures of life's secrets, lives filled with light, sound, and movement." A delight.

About Stillman Books

After closing my most recent bookstore in White Rock, B.C., I have decided to sell strictly online for the foreseeable future. My inventory is heavy on
children's and other illustrated books, along with aviation, sea and naval and other categories. I'm still plugging along after 42 years of book-selling.
