London: Macmillan and Co., 1881 Book. Fair. Hardcover. Third Edition. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. Original red cloth (faded) with black lettering. 134 pp., with 1-inch edge tear to last leaf. The author seems to have been best known for his efforts to apply the use of mathematics in understanding economics. Discussion in this little text is limited primarily to Production, Division of Labour, Capital and Labour, Trades Unions, and Commercial Crises. This book is very fragile overall, with writing to title page, cracked front hinge, and at least one leaf re-inserted..
