About This Item
Safari Press, 2002. Hardcover. Like New/Fine. 9x6x1. Hunting in East Africa by a professional hunter for elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, rhino, horned game, and more. "Pondoro" means lion in Chinyungwe, and was the name given to Taylor by the natives when he first began to hunt there. John Taylor is well known to just about anybody interested in firearms or African hunting. In 30 years he killed more than 1,000 elephants and preferred large rifles and cartridges such as the .450/.400 Nitro, .500/.465 Nitro, and .375 Holland. He is considered one of the best storytellers in the world of hunting books. Scarce in this collectable condition; particularly with dustjacket.
