Book sits solid and square with all corners sharp. Parker picks up where Chandler left off on his unfinished seventh Philip Marlowe crime adventure. The book was incomplete at the time of Chandler's death. Housed in the superb Ann Spinelli designed dustwrapper with the classic detective - dame picture to the front panel. Publishers printed price intact on front inside flap. Dustwrapper displays the 8910 code on the bottom inside flap indicating the books true first printing status. Synopsis

Poodle Springs is the eighth Philip Marlowe novel. It was started in 1958 by Raymond Chandler, who left it unfinished at his death in 1959. The four chapters he had completed, which bore the working title "The Poodle Springs Story", were subsequently published in Raymond Chandler Speaking (1962), a collection of letter excerpts and miscellaneous unpublished writings. On the occasion of the centenary of Chandler's birth, crime writer Robert B.
