Perkins page 417. Volume 1, though edited by Wylly, is a reprint of two earlier histories of the ancestor regiments, Records of the 33rd Queen Victoria's Own by the Anderson brothers and Records of the 34th Prince Albert Victor's Own by Molloy. This copy was owned by Lt Colonel George Kirkbride and has a number of Christmas cards from the regiment and other memorabilia inserted by his widow.
