A new Edition. Marvellous Tales of Piskies and Spriggans, Mermaids, witches and Giants. Frontis illus. Giant Bolster stepping from Beacon to Carn Brea (protected by tissue guard). Includes Preface to Third Edition and Introduction.
First Series Tales include: Giants, Mermaids and Tregeagle of Dosmery Pool. Second Series includes: Saints, Holy Wells, King Arthur, Tin Miners, Fishermen & Sailors.
Green cloth cover with bright Gilt characters from the Tales on front & spine. Gilt lettering on spine. 480 p.pages + 32 pages of publisher's adverts. 8" tall.
Inscriptions on Endpapers and ffep, the oldest dated 1900. Some spots of light foxing on title page and a few, very faint, on Frontis. Only a very occasional spot elsewhere. Rear hinge cracked and reinforced with hinge tape.
