London; J. M. Dent & Sons Ltd, 1940., 1940. Hard Cover. FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp. 254. Publishers' green cloth with silver titles to spine in unclipped maroon dust-jacket. Spine tips and corners a little rubbed; upper board faintly marked from jacket. Endpapers slightly toned and very slightly foxed, with bold gift inscription dated 1942 to ffep. Jacket toned and lightly soiled, with nicks & creases to edge and small loss to spine tips and to 2cm split at tail of lower joint. A Very Good copy in Good jacket. Collection of ten fictionalised autobiographical short prose stories by the Welsh poet (1914-1953), all set in Swansea and written over a number of years about his early life from childhood to his work as a young journalist.
