London: John Murray, 1885. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. London, John Murray, 1885. Octavo, xii, 566, 2 (publisher's list) pages with 219 illustrations (some full-pgae). Gilt-decorated blind-stamped cloth; edges uncut; covers a little scuffed and flecked; spine a little lightly sunned; a few leaves with tiny tears to the extremities (a result of opening the pages); bookplate of William Godley on the front pastedown; a very good copy. Four newspaper clippings tipped-in to the front free endpaper and first blank.
