Orange coloured cloth covered with blind stamped illustration on the front panel with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Pale purple coloured tint to top textblock edge. Illustrated dustwrapper, showing a black and white morbius design against a blue and white background with black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Part of the " Everyman's Library " series of books No. 789. "From the English poets, from Sidney and Milton, from college, Wordsworth, Shelley and their successors, we have brought together here some of the arguments they have stated on behalf of their infinite art. " -- from introduction page VII. Softening to the top text block edge with rubbing of the book corners. Age toning and faint foxing to the text block edges. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. There is a 0.5 " tear to the top left hand corner of the front panel. Stunning to the backstrip with rubbing and marks to the panels.
