About This Item
New York: W.J. Watt & Company, 1912. Hardcover. Illustrations by Will Grefe. Small 8vo. Dark blue cloth with gilt spine lettering and large color pictorial plate to front board. 300pp. Tissue-guarded frontispiece, 4 full-page plates. Very good. Quite mild edgewear only and spine lettering a bit rubbed, else tight and internally fine. Bright and nice early reissue of the 1912 first edition -- "Published January" on copyright page but with "Popular / Edition" giltstamped near spine tail. Even this early reissue is uncommon. McILVAINE A15a.
