Moderate foxing to endpapers and preliminary leaves. No previous owner's signatures or stamps. A nice binding.; Volume Two only of two volumes. Fifth edition. xv, [1], 591, [1] pages. Fine binding. Signed binding, with "Bound by Townsend & Son / Sheffield" stamped to the inner dentelle of the front board. Full green morocco binding with ornate gilt border decoration to boards. Gilt decoration to edges of boards and gilt dentelles to inner margins of boards. All page edges gilt and gauffered. (Gauffering refers to the pattern impressed into the gilt edges using heated tools. The gauffering in this book is a pattern of small circular dots and diamond shapes.) Marbled endpapers. Page dimensions: 210 x 135mm. ; 8vo .
