The 33rd Dortmund Sparkassen Chess-Meeting took place in the Dortmunder Schauspielhaus in Dortmund, Germany 8-17 July 2005. Rest day: July 13. Games started at 3 pm, Round 9 at 1 pm local time. Time control: 100 minutes for the first 40 moves, with a 30-second increment per move from move one. For the first time the tournament was won by a German, Arkadij Naiditsch (5.5/9) who was also the youngest (19) and lowest rated player. Category: XIX (2709). Chief arbiter: Andrzej Filipowicz. Kramnik tied with Adams for sixth place. Vladimir Borisovich Kramnik is a Russian chess grandmaster. He was the Classical World Chess Champion from 2000 to 2006, and the 14th undisputed World Chess Champion from 2006 to 2007. He has won three team gold medals and three individual medals at Chess Olympiads.
