Bound in black cloth with blind stamped borders, gilt logo of Academy on front cover and gilt spine lettering. Illustrated with a few drawings and with six plates at the rear concerning the Truxilinae (Grasshopper) family. To my mind perhaps the most important article in this volume is 'Bibliography of Iowa Antiquities'--a 25 page listing of books in this category. Other articles covering the Truxilinae (Grasshoppers); Mexican shell gorget; Arkansas grooved rocks; Buddhism in America; Chas. Christopher Parry; Stone Mounds and serpent of South Dakota; proceedings of the Society, etc. Book with damp stain evidence at the very front spine bottom area; spine chipped at top/bottom.
