About This Item
New York: Bantam Pathfinder Editions, 1965. Signed by Arthur C. Clarke on title page, inscribed to Randall Alfred, a freelance journalist who co-founded the gay paper San Francisco Bay Times, edited The Sentinel and hosted the KSAN public affairs radio show The Gay Life. xvi, 235, 5 pp. Bound in publisher's wraps. Good only with Alfred's name written in pencil on front free endpaper, his notes and underlinings in ink throughout; creased spine, toned with age.
A futurist book by the famous British sci-fi author, who was gay, with an interesting association between him and a noteworthy Bay Area journalist and gay rights activist.
