Twelve printed cards in a rubber stamped envelope. 16 mo. Very good. Contents loose as issued. [1291]

Rubber-stamped manila envelope containing a set of 12 printed cards. Each one records an artist's proposal for David Askevold's Projects Class, which is remembered as "the most innovative and interesting aspect of the NSCAD curriculum of the period," (Gil McElroy, ARTSatlantic, 1996.) The proposals lead to student collaborations with an international roster of minimalist and conceptual artists of the era, including Jan Dibbets, James Lee Byars, N.E. Thing, Dan Graham, Sol LeWitt, Lucy Lippard, Joseph Kosuth, Douglas Huebler, Lawrence Weiner, Mel Bochner, Robert Smithson, Robert Barry. The ultrascarce Projects Class envelope is both a record of these undertakings and a portfolio of conceptual artworks. As of July 2021, we can locate only four copies of this legendary publication in North America -- at the Clark, the MoMA, Ryerson, and National Gallery of Canada.
