NO owner's name or bookplate. Bound in the original dark green ribbed pictorial cloth, stamped in black and gold on the spine and front cover. Light rubbing at the extremities. The gilt lettering on the front cover remains remarkably bright and shiny. The gilt lettering on the spine is less bright but still complete with NO flaking. Text pages are bright white, clean, crisp, and free of any markings. NO foxing. Illustrated with 4 full page color plates by Arthur Rackham, including a tissue-guarded frontispiece. (Bibliographical note: The first English edition lacks these Rackham illustrations). Livingston says the texts in the English and American editions differ slightly in every story.
