Hodder and Stoughton. Very Good+ in Very Good- dust jacket. 1938. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. Hardcover. Dust jacket is lightly soiled, shallowly chipped at head and foot of spine, which is somewhat sunned. Long tear to back panel has been taped on the inner surface of the jacket and is almost invisible from the outside, now protected by clear mylar sleeve. Book is slightly bumped at lower corner of front cover, lightly sunned spine, pages are lightly browned. Pages are crisp and tight, book appears unread. . Short mystery stories by a master of detective fiction; this is the true first printing (stated). . . 8vo 8" - 9" tall. 252 pages. M3 .
