Born Salvatore Albert Lombino, he legally adopted the name Evan Hunter in 1952. While successful and well known as Evan Hunter, he was even better known as Ed McBain, a name he used for most of his crime fiction, beginning in 1956. Width: 6" Height: author-signed limited edition of this crime novel. This is copy number 87 of 100. McBain's signature appears on the limitation page. This volume is bound in maroon cloth with bright stamped gilt lettering and boarders to the spine and front cover. A square pastedown with a portrait of the author appears at the center of the front cover. The book and its maroon-cloth slipcase are in excellent condition. 9".
