London: Hodder & Stoughton Book. Illus. by Hugh Thomson. Good. Blue Cloth Boards. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Play first published in 1901 which became so popular that Quality Street confectionary was named after it. This is an undated copy, but as the play was adapted for a film in 1937, starring Katharine Hepburn, and this copy has a short gift inscription dated 1937, it may be a reprint from circa 1937. 197pp illustrated with black and white drawings and tissue guarded tipped in colour plates with illustrated captions. Gilt lettering to spine. Bumping to spine and corners, dent to top board, tape repair to left hinge and slight marking to edges, otherwise good copy in much repaired DJ with glued on colour illustration..
