Hardcover. 22cm, first American edition, 58p., colour frontis, title-page vignette, 26 colour text illustrations, beige cloth, colour illustrations on upper & lower covers, library plate on front paste-down, child s scribbling on rear free endpaper, covers worn & soiled, good Thomson 110. Engraved and printed by Edmund Evans. A scarce Harte juvenile book published shortly after his move to London in 1885. A fine match between author and illustrator.
