(Paris): Privately Printed, 1948. First French Edition - Limited. Hardcover. Very Good/VG-. Uncommon edition of 300 copies, this # 76, of a French translatiion of a collection of the Nobel laureate's poems that had either never appeared before in this form or that were written in the last years of his life. Large 8vo, printed on Papier Hollande, untrimmed sides in printed parchment wrapper. Internals fine, wrapper soiled, chipped at corners. Inscribed by one of the translators who bears the name Bjorson (grandaughter?) but who signs the inscription, dated Paris 1948, as "D. Bjornson Sautreau" suggesting that she may be the wife of her translator partner, the one better known for his French tramsaltions of Norwegian work in the late 40s/50s. Uncommon.
