About This Item
Clunn was a retired major and amateur archaeologist who discovered the site of the battle of Teutoburg Forest. This book tells the story of his search for the site, the location of where three Roman legions were wiped out by German tribesmen in AD 9. He first found coins and then other items, all finally leading him him to discover what had happened to the 'lost legions'.
An excellent signed copy. Pages are bright, clean and tidy. No marks, creases or browning, as new. Cloth boards are tight and clean. DJ is unclipped and unmarked with no real noticeable wear. There is an old barcode sticker on the rear flap, potentially removable. Please see photos which are as always of the actual book for sale. All now covered in professional clear removable book cover. SIGNED. 337pp with many B&W illustrations
