Hardcover book, 5 3/4" x 8 1/4", no dust wrapper -front panel and part of left inside fold pasted to inside cover causing glue offset line to preliminary title page, bottom of frontis illustration and title page - cover itself has some light, small spots and light bumping to corners - light signs of use - good+ to very good; text, apart from glue residue, is very good - light signs of age and wear; X, 241 pgs with black-and-white illustrations; INSCRIBED: "To Lucita with fondest regards and best wished from Armand Hammer" with the name Lucita Williams inside cover and her note, 12 May 1973, New York. Lucita Willliams was the wife of Albert Rhys Williams, minister, journalist, author and narrator of the Russian Revolution together with M. Philips Price and John Reed.
