Orig. published in 1917, this edition from 1923 (First, thus) is Another volume in the popular "Evergreen Series" from the Riverside Bookshelf collection of books for boys & girls from the early 20th century. This one again features the author's beloved Rebecca character (introduced in "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm"). 49 pp + ads for other titles in rear. Small 16mo hardcover with green paper over boards decorated with darker green trees & lettering is in Near Fine condition: completely clean but with foxing to all exterior page edges, mild tanning to endpapers & all pages, else unmarked. The binding is straight & strong. The unclipped DJ (with orig. $.50 price intact to front flap) is VG, with heavy tanning, small chips to all corners & both ends of spine, light soil/spotting.
