Rust-colored cloth boards with large gilt-stamped Native American on front cover, gilt and black rules on front and spine, gilt lettering on spine. Brown clay-coated endpapers, frontispiece, plate illustrations, two folding maps bound in toward rear. Inscribed ""With the regards of the author, Henry B. Carrington, Col. U.S.A., Spet 15, 1878."" Pages are unmarked, binding is solid. Some reading soil to pages, wear to edges of covers, some soiling. At least good condition.
