Book is in Good condition, illustrated cloth covered boards are clean, with light shelfwear, slight bumps to corners. Binding is tight. Delicate cursive gift inscription in ballpoint ink to upper portion of half title page, otherwise text and images are free of markings. Dust jacket is in Acceptable condition, colors remain vivid but for a faint adhesive ghost to upper right corner of jacket from a previously removed foil Newbery Medal, and overall handling. Closed tears and chips to tail of jacket spine, and chipping along jacket edges. Flecks of discoloration to rear of jacket.
