Quarto, quarter white cloth over papered boards (corners bumped and rubbed, stained), endpapers with offsetting, a few spots of foxing, water stain to top margin of several leaves, 184 pp, with numerous tipped-in colour plates and black and white plates of paintings by Stainforth, the most celebrated equine artist of the period, one leaf with short marginal tears, a fair copy.
