Vol. 5 only, 6-7/8" x 4-1/4", bound in fine full red French morocco, gilt decorated spine, gilt lettered green morocco spine label, covers elaborately tooled and paneled, gilt crest of Comte De Clermont to both covers, gilt dentelles, all edges gilt, internally clean and bright, inner and outer hinges fine, head of spine fine, small chip to foot of spine near rear hinge otherwise VERY GOOD. The only reference to Milord Comte de Clermont we could find was in the "Figaro" a non-political French newspaper "bearing the name of the owner Milord Count of Clermont, who won in 1785 the Derby with Aimw". This would at least explain why he would be in possession of a Horse Racing book.
