The first edition of this work, with no additional edition remarks or reprints to copyright (later printings specify to copyright page). Children's tale of Raggedy Ann and Andy written and illustrated by Johnny Gruelle, American artist and cartoonist as well as author of children's books. Those of Raggedy Ann and Andy are his most famous stories, concerning a couple of rag dolls and their adventures. Illustrated in text with colour. In the original publisher's cloth backed printed boards binding. Externally with shelf wear, bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities. Boards lightly marked with minor chipping to extremities, Previous ownership inscriptions in pen and pencil to half title, undated. Evidence of pencil drawing rubbed out to verso half title. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Good
