First edition of this series, issued under the general title of Il ragioniere perfetto, which combines a course of instruction by Villa, first published in 1840-41, with a preliminary discourse by Taddei, reprints of two classical texts, Flori and Jones (in volumes 1 and 5), and a "Manuale del capitalista" in volume 4. Five volumes bound in four, quarto (277 x 198 mm). Contemporary half vellum and marbled boards, spines with gilt roll rules and decoration, red morocco labels, sprinkled edges. Folding tables in the text. Small puncture to spine of volume 3, very occasional light spotting; an excellent set. ICAEW, p. 7. See Herwood 63 for the first edition of Villa.
