No inscription, 4 square corners. minor spotting to prelims. VG condition in lesser dustwrapper (spine faded, no tears or loss).. Argent title & dec. brown cloth boards. 208pp illustrated plates. 8vo. As a trained nurse the author was responsible for those of the Jameson Raid (1894) that ended up in the Krugersdorp hospital. She later served in a similar role at both Umtali & Salisbury during the Mashona uprising of 1896. Both times she answered a call for volunteer help and travelled from Cape Town to which she later returned. She graphically describes the major campaigns, the defeat and death of Makoni, the episode of the Mazoe Patrol, and actions in the Hartley district. As an artist, she made her own sketches which illustrate this book.

Any Duties levied by Customs Depts on entry to the purchaser's country are payable by the purchaser. Fables Bookshop are not liable for duties and such charges levied on purchases. Neither are Fables liable for material seized on entry to other countries on account of political or other restrictions.

Trade Discount only to members of their respective national book dealer association. ie. ABA, ABAA, ANZAAB, etc.

All items sent by courier, trackable.

Local Deliveries: Standard Rate is via Pudo, Locker-to-Locker. Expedited Rate refers to use of either Fedex or Postnet if required by customer.

Overseas Deliveries: Standard Rate will use courier out of South Africa and then will utilise local postal service for 'last mile' deliveries. Expedited Rate will utilise full courier service.

Canadian customers please query us for delivery rate. Currently Canada is in International Postal Zone F, along with Australia, and the price quoted can probably be reduced to Canada
