New York: McGraw-Hill Book Company, 1913. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, dark blue cloth boards with gilt on spine. Exterior shows some minor scuffing and spotting, spine is mildly sunned. Edges and corners show light bumps in the lower front corner has a small tear in the cloth right at the corner. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No hinge issues, no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting, nothing torn or loose. Pages are toned due to age and the end pages and pastedowns show a few smudge marks. Found between the pages were two small blueprints, dated 1910. The first one is the illustration for laying a track roadbed with ballast in the second sheet is the ballast table. These two small sheets stay with the book. First edition thus with a single date of 1913 appearing on both the copyright and title pages.
