Papers presented at the first major international and multi-disciplinary conference to explore the archaeology of infancy and childhood, and adapted and brought up-to-date by the authors for this publication. The conference was organised by Mike Lally and held at the University of Kent, Canterbury, in 2005. From this conference emerged a new society, The Study of Childhood in the Past (SSCIP), and a new journal, Childhood in the Past, back numbers of which may also be in stock.
