A guide to self-taught penmanship to result in an "elegant hand." Red boards with gilt design highlighting titles on front cover. Heavy wear to cover with fading and spotting, corners and spine ends bumped, front cover detached from text block with staples showing, former owner's name "I F Good" and 1894 date on half title, some tanning of pages, corner crease in half title, interior pages lightly tanned, back hinge broken showing staples but partially attached, text block mostly tight.
